I think the variety is important with training at this time of year, as too much of any one thing (particularly the turbo trainer) can get very monotonous.
UCI WorldTour 2011 dates

UCI WorldTour Dates for 2011, the UCI WorldTour is now replacing the existing ProTour. This should allow for better competition between teams, it also give the UCI more control of the teams they pick to attend there events. 2011 is going to be a cracking year with the addition to some new teams.
